The work we’ll do together

Curiosity and wonder are simultaneously beautiful and terrifying. On the one hand, they lead us down paths that we would have never thought to explore. On the other, they unearth new paths that often require us to make a choice – to stay in the comfortable or to go towards the unknown. Together, we will get comfortable with the unknown.

To the dreamers and the change-makers who feel stuck and don’t know which path to take, I hear you and understand you because I was once you.

I felt stuck in my career for years because I was caught up with how other people defined success. I wanted to prove to people that I could be successful by their definition even though I knew deep down that this was not the path that I was meant to take. On a day where I was at my lowest point, something within me clicked. I realized that not only did I not have to continue doing what I was doing but that I could change directions whenever I wanted. The knowing that I was going to leave a field I wasn’t happy in, was freeing albeit terrifying. I was worried about disapproval and judgment from others even though I had never been more sure about anything in my life. When the disapproval and judgment didn’t come, I thought it was a one-off, however, over time, I have discovered that when you’re confident in yourself and the decisions you make, the disapproving questions and judgment never come.

I’m here to tell you that you do know which path to take – your inner voice always knows, it’s just about trusting yourself. Trusting yourself is hard and is at the very center of the work we will do together. When we learn to trust our inner voices and by proxy ourselves, our lives end up seeming so much easier. When we trust ourselves, we move through life confident and self-assured in our decisions, which leads to fewer disapproving questions and judgment from others.

What I have learned is that as we evolve, explore, and try new things, we change and oftentimes, we stay comfortable because change and the unknown are scary. But it doesn’t have to be scary.

Each person’s life experience is unique and there’s no one size fits all model for how to live. When we live authentically and trust our intuition, opportunities show up for us in ways that we can’t even imagine. This is a lesson that has inspired me to work with individuals who feel “stuck.”

Over the past several years, I have had the opportunity to listen to a variety of individuals’ growth experiences and have helped them get unstuck. By listening to their needs, they uncovered the untruths they had been believing about themselves for years, which allowed them to get in touch with their inner voice so that they truly feel empowered to create the change they are so deeply craving.

You talk. I listen. We share stories. You feel empowered to take control of your life and embrace whatever change you feel.

xx
